My husband had "the Works" omelet and it was excellent. I ordered the sausage biscuits & gravy; it was very mild. I mentioned to waitress & she said to ask for spicy next time for more flavor. Biscuits are more like dinner roles.

The English muffin gimmick is great. Just your typical breakfast food , but it wasn't half bad. Wish they had a patio to enjoy the nearby water view.

Great little place. Awesome service (something rare apparently in the area). Be aware that there is no vegetarian menu, but they accommodated something. everyone in this "picky" family got to eat!!!

Had the English Breakfast and thought it was great!! Ate here again this morning . Had the "sweet tooth" which consisted of three pancakes an egg and two pieces of bacon . Enough for two people . Tasted great'n Also the staff is great. Very friendly

Great little place, with a nice lake view. Had the Eggs Benedict, it was delicious. Hand cut, thick Canadian bacon, eggs cooked just right. The hash browns were great. Very friendly and great service.

We read about the English Muffin on Yelp and all of the great reviews and decided to give it a try. The one problem was it was after 11 a. m. No problem!!! They serve lunch as well. Both of our children ordered breakfast. Our 3 year old had the Small-stack(2) of Pancakes. These were bigger than his head! They were delicious!!! Our second child (11) ordered the Two Eggs(over medium) with Sausage, Sausage, Toast, and Breakfast Potatoes. He says that it tasted awesome!!! He is very picky. My wife and I both ordered the Country Fried Steak Lunch plate. The vegetables my wife and I picked (mashed potatoes-no gravy/green beans and mashed-potatoes-white gravy/black eyed peas) were delicious. The steak seemed prepackaged but still delicious. The lunch included toast and a small dessert. My wife had an apple cobbler and I had a fresh bundt cake with lemon icing and chocolate chips. They were good. We read about the biscuits and ordered one each with our lunch and we were not disappointed. They were huge and delicious. Our waitress Carol even brought them to us toasted. Yummmmmm. If you are in Hot Springs and looking for a good breakfast please try this place. You will be glad you did. Ask for Carol. We will be back before we head back home so my wife and I can have breakfast. Stay tuned for further reviews.

Wow, they were busy. I ordered a buckwheat waffle with honey and it was awesome. Nothing fancy here. Just down home good food.

Things started off great when they seated us quickly...but that was the end of the good stuff. It took about 10 minutes before anyone even came over to get our order. Then another 50 to get the food. The pancake was still raw batter in the middle, the country fries were underwhelming, and the "famous" English muffin I ordered was a different flavor than what we asked for. He waitress offered to change it but never came back except to give us the check. When we told the cashier, they said the wait was just because "they cook everything to order" I don't go to fast food restaurants, but have rarely, if ever, had such a poor experience. Lastly, contrary to the other reviews, the coffee was nothing more than hot, brown water.

Good Eggs Benedict! Coffee should be better but I roast my own so I am definitely Critical. A bit expensive. Friendly atmosphere right on Lake Hamilton.

The portions were perfect, the food was great, the price was right! I had the spinach omelette - cooked to perfection. The coffee was rich, hot, and the cup was kept full without the waitress hovering. My wife is a hot tea drinker and she seldom finds a restaurant where the water is hot enough. Here it was perfect. I was tempted to try a muffin but followed the advice of other reviewers and ordered a biscuit. I was not disappointed! We will be back.

I've never had a bad meal here. ITS AMAZING! Down home cooking at a FAB price. Best breakfast in town I think!
(5)Amy R.
You must try an english muffin here. Nothing like store bought and the jalapeño cheese had some umph to it. Rest of the fare was great breafast food.

After reading some raving reviews of the English Muffin, we had to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Mary had The English Breakfast, which is biscuits and gravy with eggs and a side order of bacon while I had a ham and cheddar omelet with hash browns and an English muffin. The food was all very good and Mary reported that the biscuit was perhaps the best she has ever had. The coffee is good, eggs are fresh, bacon was cooked perfectly and our server was as friendly and attentive as can be. Our bill was just 20 bucks before tip. We're only in Hot Springs for two more days and I'm trying to figure out if we can get back to the English Muffin before we leave!

This is a popular breakfast joint. I had an egg (scr.), an E Muff, sausage, & grits, for $5.45 ++. Not bad. It was perfectly fine except, believe it or not, for the English Muffin which was decidedly sub-standard. It was cut with a sharp knife & undercooked. Not good. Service - Friendly Ambiance - Diner type Food - Diner food Location - on the highway

Had a nice experience here; the breakfast plate was real good! They accommodated my special request of adding a beef patty next to my eggs and grits. The view of the lake is nice here.

We dined on Friday 8/1/2014 with a party of 10 and it was the worst experience I've had in at least 10 years. First when we arrived we weren't sure how to get a table, no sign to either seat yourself or wait to be seated so we just stood at the front door for a while. No one greeted us so we assumed it was seat yourself and proceed to look for a table. Since there were 10 of us we actually required two tables. We found a spot where two could easily be pulled together but one was dirty so we stood beside it until someone had a moment to clear it off. 8-10 minutes later a server finally wiped the table down and said she would be with us in just a moment. 15 minutes later she came back. We were ready to order our meals at this point but our server informed us she was only taking drink orders right then so we all just ordered our drinks. 10 more minutes passed she retuned with our 1/2 of our drink order, and then another few minutes passed and the remainder of our drink order was delivered. We were beyond ready to order as we had already been there 35-40 minute at this point but the server again said she would be right back. Here's the real kicker - now we all watched her take 3 other tables order that came in after us!!! They were all 2-4 tops so I'm sure they were "easier" for her but geez!! One person in our party finally went to her to ask if we could order or should we go somewhere else. She then finally took our order. 25 minutes later 4 of our 10 got their food, 7 more minutes 3 more got their food and then finally, after being at this place for 1 hour and 20 minutes , the last 4 finally got their food. The first 4 were done by this point. Food was okay and might have tasted better had we not all been so sour over the whole service experience! No apologizes were ever offered. Our server really acted as if she was doing us a favor to even wait on us. Never again!!

Was staying next door & after reading the reviews here, I figured I needed to try it out. I was not disappoint. I ate here all 4 mornings. Breakfasts were all reasonably priced & service was prompt. The biscuits are great. (They must be homemade)

Glad we tried it for breakfast, the food was exactly what I was expecting. Comfort southern breakfast fare. Friendly quick service with a smile. We will make this a regular stop when we are in town.

I don't generally review places outside of Memphis, but if I am in Hot Springs, I can't pass up breakfast at the English Muffin. One word - Omelettes. Their omelettes are perfect. I like the choice of English muffins and the diner atmosphere. Waitresses ( didn't see any waiters) are friendly and efficient. Nice place with nice patrons and staff. Check it out.

The breakfast was so good I went here three times on my trip! Arguably the best breakfast I've ever had! My first meal with this great restaurant was the Works Omelette. The omelette was huge, fluffy, and delicious. It was probably the greatest breakfast I've ever had and definitely the best eggs! It came with hash browns, a biscuit, and a bowl of gravy so you could also have biscuit and gravy too. I asked for sausage gravy and the biscuits and gravy were very delicious as well! Excellent coffee and chocolate milk. Everything was unbelievable, including the friendly staff. My second trip, I ordered the chicken fried steak with eggs. Very good, but not nearly as great as the omelette. My third trip, I went back to the Works Omelette. Every time, the service was very good, if not excellent. Everyone is friendly. The food is great. The coffee is excellent. The chocolate milk is rich. The gravy sticks to your ribs. The biscuits are fresh. But, the omelette, especially when cooked by the owner's son, is what makes your trip here amazing. The man can cook an omelette! Great find! Thanks to the previous Yelpers for this great recommendation!

Read about this place on yelp and sounded good so we tried it. We were here for spring break. My husband ordered ham and cheese omelet. Omelet was ok but not great. Hash browns were overdone and seemed like mcdonalds hash browns. The biscuit was wonderful light and fluffy. Service was good. No brewed iced tea.

I can't understand why all the good reviews. The food was average, Pancakes were tough and I tried the waffle instead for the second day there. It was cooked ok but just average flavor! The coffee was good and the service was very good.

We are in Hot Springs with 4 other couples for a vacation. We found this place here on yelp and decided to try it out. The food there was AWESOME I had the sweet tooth (stack of pancakes, sausage and bacon) and my husband had the works omelet. They served good size portions and the service was great. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and the omelet tasted home made (fresh and good quality ingredients). I would recommend this to anyone vacationing here and if we find ourselves here again we will make sure to stop by.
(5)Trey D.
One of the best breakfast spots in Hot Springs. The food and service have always been great!
(5)Dan M.
This was by far one of the best omlettes I've ever had. I had the ham and cheese omlette. This was just about omlette perfection in my book. The eggs were super fluffy, nice big chunks of ham and a good amount of american cheese making the perfect combination. Also, if you like fluffy, fall apart biscuits, you have to try one here!
(5)Nikki N.
Found this place after reading great reviews. We liked it so much that my husband and I ate here twice during our stay on Lake Hamilton. The coffee was quite tasty and the waitresses kept it refilled. I had the ham and cheese omelette and the the ham and tomato omelette and both were good. The biscuits were very fresh and soft, great with sausage gravy! The waitstaff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Very loud and long wait. We waited over 45 min for our breakfast after we ordered. We witnessed two other couples get up and leave after not being waited on after an extended amount of time. Our food was luke warm too. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Waited an hour and a half to get our breakfast. A breakfast that was mediocre at best. English muffins were not even homemade. Could not get real syrup or butter... Instead had to choose between high fructose corn syrup "syrup" or partially hydrogenated butter spread.

We were on a tight time limit, told our waitress & she put a rush on our order & brought check to be paid while we were eating so we could make it to church on time. Very good breakfast & very reasonable. Will go back when in Hot Springs.
(5)Byron T.
Went here with friends from the area, the kept telling me how good the the omelets were. Well they were correct, one of the fluffyest ones I had ever had. The service was great, our orders all came out correct, and our waitress had a big old smile on her face.
(5)David R.
Breakfast sandwich was good. Ordered mine with bacon, over-medium on an English muffin (of course). Nice view of the lake!!
(4)Christa N.
Both pros and cons--pros: omelets that had consistency of soufflés, wide variety of English muffins, friendly service, nice view of Lake Hamilton; cons: sour orange juice, whipped spread instead of butter, mediocre pancakes, sparse serving of hash browns. I've noticed whipped spread is popular in Arkansas but you'd think butter would be an option at a place specializing in English muffins!

This local breakfast and lunch establishment has been in business here for over 12 years. I always go for breakfast. The food is better than chain restaurants- They serve pretty standard Southern fare, like eggs, grits, country potatoes, and pancakes. I've been going there for over 12 years and the food is consistently good. They close early though at 1 or 2 pm or so check the time.

I've only eaten here once, but it was delicious. Kind of crowded (I was 9+ plus months pregnant, actually, the day I was induced), but a good value and quality.
(4)Dan R.
Great experience at this restaurant. Family had the seafood omelet, the french toast, and the "famous" club (sub ranch for mayo). Was outstanding all around. Attitude, speed, ambiance, and menu variety was tuned perfectly for a short-order, diner-style, pay-at-the-counter restaurant. We talked about it the rest of the day and we will go back. Prices reasonable.
